Patient Voice Volunteer (Cardiff & Vale University Health Board)

The Patient Voice is at the centre of everything that the Patient Experience Feedback Team does. They work with the patient feedback team and also support clinical teams on hospital wards and clinical departments to create and collect patient feedback which helps us to shape and improve our vital services.

We are looking for people who are passionate about our NHS, enjoy talking with others to share their opinions and experiences, and are confident volunteering alone or in a team.

You must have excellent listening skills and be non-judgemental. You should be confident when communicating with patients, service users, visitors, staff and general members of the public.

You should demonstrate empathy and understanding at all times

Experience of befriending would be useful

We are particularly looking for patient voice volunteers at the Children's Hospital for Wales (Noah's Art at University Hospital Wales) for surveys starting in July 2026.

This role is a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week – based on wards and outpatient departments at any Cardiff & Vale hospital sites.
